Welcome to the www.espLIFT.com website and registration agreement page.

In our first year 2008, over 500 members joined the community. As of May 1st, 2010 now over 1420 + registered members - the largest oil & gas artificial lift community worldwide.

There are some changes and new registration guidelines.: New members are requested to use your surname in your username. Examples:  Watson 234 , Pat Smith, TR Jones, Faisal Al Mahdi, Luc L'Etoile, etc.

Registration is free. Activation is also free if you use your surname and your surname is identified in your email address. However, if you would prefer to use an alias (without your surname) in your username, please email us with an explanation and request to use an alias. Email:  service@ESPlift.com

The primary reason for this change is that in our first year of forming our community, we spent too much time time editing and deleting posts made by members having an alias. So we want to move ahead and make some changes.

Most all posts on ESPlift.com  are just as you might expect - people sharing common professional experience, looking for help, offering suggestions, and where to go for solutions to a problem or idea.  This is a professional community, and using your real name really helps keep it that way. If you prefer to use an alias, please apply with your special request for approval. Thank you for understanding.

After completing this registration agreement, you will immediately receive an email to confirm that your application has been submitted. Registration approvals typically take less than 48 hours, and you will receive a follow up email confirming.

This website and forum is open to the general public for registration and use. It is dedicated to Artificial Lift Oil & Gas professionals and is also a form of media protected by the U.S. First Amendment, to facilitate open communication such as asking questions and sharing an individual's professional and general know how on topics that may be of interest to other members of the forum, offering product and service review, and opinions within our community.

Once activation is completed, this forum is free of cost to use, and as such is a non commercial community forum and a news media by our members.

This professional community was organized to provide a place for oil & gas and other industry specialists to get together and communicate about subjects of mutual interest. So, once again welcome - and if you would like to join our group, please register and login.

Please note: Most companies support their employees to freely communicate with others in professional organization communities. However, there are exceptions. If you are an employee of an Electric Submersible Pump vendor company such as Baker Hughes Centrilift that may restrict your communication, during usage or attendence of get togethers within our ESPlift professional community and requires you to receive the prior approval of people like Jim Whorton or Nelson Ney to communicate, please ensure that you have complied with any company policies so that you are not punished by your company regarding their "Code of Conduct" violations. Disclosure: With regard to Centrilift, restrictions to their employees by Baker Hughes (Nelson Ney) were as reported in the general newspaper media on the Houston Chronicle website on May 1, 2008, click here for an extract of the article.  Centrilift is welcome to offer their viewpoint on this matter directly to members of ESPlift.com and it will be disclosed within this website community. Also, if you are an officer of any other ESP vendor or company who restrict their employees' communication with other professionals within ESPlift.com, please let us know so that these companies can also be identified in this registration agreement  to help you let your employees know . To date, Centrilift is the only company we are aware of regarding restrictions to communicate within our professional community.

What's this caution about? There may be discussion within our ESPlift.com community such as ESP vendor reviews and other subjects that some manufacturers may find that they prefer others not to discuss or disclose. Just like some of the product and service review user community sites that are commonly available on the web regarding  products (like TV's, stereos, cars, etc- click here for an example) and services (like a recent stay at a hotel, click here for an example) where people communicate about their actual experience,  ESP manufacturers are now faced with actual users sharing thier opinion based on their experience with ESPs and other artificial lift equipment. It's no wonder that some vendors are open and allow people to freely discuss in a transparent way, while other ESP vendors may restrict open communication without prior approval.

People are smart, and can sift through the information that they think is valuable to them. Opinion is subjective, as many educated people realize that all in life is not black and white. At the ESPlift.com professional community, we get to have open discussions about these types of subjects.
